John Cardus is Vice President, Head of Underwriting Manual Development, at RGA. Prior to his current role, John served as Chief Underwriter & Head of Claims for Hong Kong and High Net Worth, based in Hong Kong. John has more than 25 years of underwriting experience, with roles at insurance and reinsurance companies across a number of markets in Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining RGA, John worked for Swiss Re as the Head of Underwriting in Australia and New Zealand for three years until 2012, when he was named Head of Global Underwriting, based in the UK. John also held other strategic underwriting roles, working in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Zurich. An active member of the underwriting profession, John has presented at numerous industry events and is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
