Dave Snell joined RGA in 1998 after several successive management positions in the actuarial and information technology areas of General American Life Insurance Company (GA). He led the microcomputer revolution at GA and has continued his leadership in technology with several innovations for RGA.
He is co-inventor of the AURA automated underwriting expert system and was instrumental in the development of eWarp, the workbench used by RGA facultative underwriters in several offices. Dave also led the Individual Business Team for RGA Australia in 2004, which resulted in the consolidation of data from several disparate sources into a single relational database with virtually 100 percent (over 10 million in force records) of the ceding company data supplied to RGA.
Dave is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, for which he is the Immediate Past President of the Technology Section and current Treasurer of the Futurism Section. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in engineering.
