Chris Murumets is the Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth, Americas. Chris is a serial entrepreneur, having started several insurtech companies. Earlier in his career, he worked at a carrier, reinsurer, and retrocessionaire in roles spanning ceded administration, corporate actuarial, assets/liability management, and reinsurance operations.
Always active in the industry, he is a past president of the LOMA Society of Toronto, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (CAILBA), and a founding member of the Reinsurance Administration Professionals Association (RAPA). He has also been a member of the Board of Governors of Canada’s Most Admired CEO group, composed of leaders of companies that previously received Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures award, and he is a mentor with Woodsworth College at the University of Toronto.
