André has been with RGA for nearly 20 years, handling various roles and markets. Currently, he oversees direct venture and fund investments, establishing partnerships globally to benefit RGA and its clients. With more than 25 years of industry experience, André joined RGA as an actuary in South Africa in 2005. He transitioned to venture investments in 2015 with RGAX and now manages a portfolio of 40+ ventures and 10 funds worldwide, supported by a team across Europe and North America. André holds a postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and fellowships with multiple actuarial institutes. He frequently presents at industry events and authors papers on life and health insurance.
