RGA Named “Life Reinsurance Company of the Year” at The Review Worldwide Reinsurance Awards
ST. LOUIS, September 8, 2011 – Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE: RGA) has been named "Life Reinsurance Company of the Year" at the Worldwide Reinsurance Awards sponsored by The Review magazine. The awards were presented last night at a gala awards celebration at The Dorchester hotel in London. This is the fourth time RGA has received this award in the last eight years.
The annual Worldwide Reinsurance Awards are adjudicated by a distinguished panel of insurance and reinsurance leaders. Judges cited RGA for achieving excellent 2010 results “not only by penetrating new geographical markets, but also through product diversification” and commented on RGA’s “client-focused approach in developing new products and demonstrating its global leadership in underwriting and pricing.”
