Michelle Benz

Vice President
Head of Strategic Growth Solutions

Michelle Benz is Vice President and Head of RGA’s Strategic Growth Solutions team. In this role, her team of cross-functional experts works with clients to understand their challenges and goals, then brings the right RGA team members and partners to the table to develop new capabilities and solutions, staying involved throughout implementation and launch. 

Michelle joined RGA’s U.S. Individual Life Business Development team in 2019, coming from Grange Insurance where she was President of Grange Life Company and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the larger Grange Insurance entity. She led development of the business strategy and built an execution plan for the company’s strategic imperative to transition from a personal to commercial lines market leader.  

Prior, Michelle was at Nationwide Financial for more than 15 years in various roles, including executive leadership positions in business development and product management.

Michelle holds a degree in Finance and Decision Science from Miami University and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
