Non-traditional Reinsurance
RGA Financial Markets began operations in the early 1980s as ITT Lyndon Life Insurance Company. RGA purchased a 40% share of the company in 1995 and the remaining 60% in 2000. Financial Markets has been a leading provider of financial reinsurance in the U.S. every year since 1990. The operation has also played a significant role in the development of financial reinsurance in Asia since 1997 and currently acts as an advisor to RGA’s international operations on a variety of non-traditional reinsurance solutions.
RGA Financial Markets provides solutions to clients’ risk and capital-motivated reinsurance needs. Its team of professionals is adept in the measurement and quantification of insurance and investment risks and can assist in determining the level of economic capital necessary for life and annuity products.
